Beautiful surroundings and gardens, friendly and welcoming staff, excellent value for money, and most importantly, excellent food. The premium afternoon tea was amazing, so much food we had to take some home Highly recommend this place and intend to return
They had a falconry experience here with all kinds of different falcons and owls and they flew and ate and swooped in your direction. Brought my son who really loved it. We had some cold drinks and cake after. Really nice.
Very basic menu, staff were friendly but weren't aware of allergens or dietary info when we asked. They also seemed annoyed when asked if they could check with the kitchen re dairy. It would be really helpful to have the main allergens or more information on the menu.
Love going to the garden centre and then stopping at this cafe after. The scones and tea are to die for. Friends all loved the vegetarian options on the menu too. Stunning location surrounded by greenery. Big car park and clean toilets available.
We recently hired a beautiful room at the Dene to host my mother’s funeral and were very pleased with how it went. Shona talked us through food & drink package options and helped us decide the best option for us, liaising with the chef and making some changes to the food options as we had a large percentage of vegetarians attending. All went well on the day, the food was lovely, well prepared and well presented, coffee & tea constantly available, as well as soft drinks, plus beer and wine available in the fridge upon request. The kind serving staff boxed all leftover food and wonderful home made cakes, for us to take home with us. Well done to Shona and all the staff involved on the day, you all done very well and thank you all very much
Had a lovely breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled egg on sourdough toast, it was cooked to perfection. The service was fantastic, so helpful and thoughtful. I love looking at the grounds too. Very relaxing.
Lovely coffee shop in a peaceful setting, with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking attractive gardens. Great coffee, a wide range of breakfast options and a good selection of cakes. Staff are always helpful and efficient. Prices are on the higher side, but worth it for the location.
